Foreign investigations penalties
If you are a foreign business entity and have been doing business in the State of Connecticut without authorization for more than 90 days, our Foreign Investigations Unit will contact you regarding fees and penalties due. You will receive a demand letter from the Foreign Investigation Unit notifying you that you've been transacting business in Connecticut in violation of the Connecticut General Statutes.
If you wish to dispute the fees please email email@example.com with questions. You may be asked to submit an affidavit containing facts that might reduce your penalty, or to respond to interrogatories, which are questions answered under oath.
