Can I reinstate my business?

  • All businesses can file for reinstatement after an administrative dissolution and will keep their original date of formation.
  • Only limited liability companies (LLCs) and limited partnerships (LPs) can file for reinstatement after a voluntary dissolution. They will keep their original date of formation.

How to reinstate your business online

Some business types can file for reinstatement online.

  1. Create an account or log into your Business.CT dashboard.
  2. Select "Manage your business" from the menu.
  3. Navigate to “Reinstatement.”
  4. Select or search for the business you wish to reinstate.

Please note, to file online, the Business Agent must be a Connecticut resident, and have the correct NAICS information and business email address. All reinstated businesses receive an annual report due date for the year following their reinstatement.
