What is a business merger?
A merger is what happens when two or more business entities come together to form one entity. The business that survives is called the “survivor” and the one (or more) that doesn't is called “merged.” A merger must involve at least one Connecticut (domestic) entity.
There isn't a form for these complex transactions. You will need to create one that meets applicable Connecticut General Statutes and file it with the CT Secretary of the State.
Mergers are complicated transactions so we recommend you get legal advice when attempting a merger.
